Carnarvon will come alive with top chefs in August once again as the Gascoyne Food Council presents the Long Table Lunch as a part of the Food Festival. The long annual Long Table Lunch showcases Carnarvon’s freshest and tastiest produce to media, visitors and chefs. The Gascoyne Food Council are working on a stellar line up for this years food festival.
Mullewa Polocrosse Weekend

The State polocrosse contingent will converge in Mullewa, with an expected 20 teams to play across the grades. The finals showcase the quality of polocrosse in the region, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to watch if you haven’t seen the game before, as they are commentated to help outline the rules to spectators. Entry is free.

The Mullewa Annual Wildflower Show transforms the local hall which is filled with the region's flowering specimens, including great displays of the Leschenaultia macrantha known as the wreath flower.

The Ningaloo Coast Music Festival
The Ningaloo Coast Music Festival will take place in and around Exmouth on September 13-15. The event follows last year's inaugural Sounds Outback (… to Reef) festival - a five-day musical adventure from Exmouth to the cape's red heart.

Providing Australasian Safari competitors and entrants with an unrivalled backdrop, this off-road rally course will rank amongst the most spectacular in the world. Australasian Safari competitors will traverse outback roads and tracks via a route that take in a great variety of geographical challenges.

The Zest Festival commemorates the historic event when the East Indian trading company ship, the Zuytdorp, was wrecked off the coast. The festival comprises of three components: still life exhibition, storytelling and spiced foods (reflecting the cargo the Zuytdorp was carrying when it was wrecked off the coast.) The weekend’s festivities include kids’ games and activities, market and food stalls, fireworks, bonfire and live entertainment.
Silverdale Olive Orchard Art & Craft Exhibition

Silverdale Olive Orchard will display artworks between 28 September until 13 October. When you visit the orchard you can sample local produce and all the different olive oils available.
Geraldton-Greenough Sunshine Festival

The Geraldton-Greenough Sunshine Festival is the longest running and major annual community event of the Mid West region. There will be a range of activities throughout the festival including a parade, Australian Army Band Concert, guitar hero competitions and festivities will finish with fireworks. Entry is free.
Airing of the Quilts

Visit Northampton to see an exquisite array of colourful patchwork quilts displayed on buildings on the main street. The event showcases many styles of patchwork quilts, both old and new displayed. Enjoy browsing through the local produce or grab a bite to eat. You will find market stalls selling homemade fare, crafts, and food of all kinds. A parade of old cars, costumed people and a live band - making the day a colourful one.
Cervantes Art Festival

The Cervantes Art Festival is an annual event incorporating art, craft, photography and bush poetry competitions and exhibitions. There will also be dance and gymnastic displays by local groups, craft stalls and activities. A deck chair auction will be held on the Friday night at the opening ceremony.
Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash

The Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash is a hardcore desert racing event featuring a diverse range of off-road racing machines; bikes, quads, four wheel drives and buggies. Competitors are as diverse as the machines they race coming from across Western Australia, interstate and overseas. They race in purpose-built buggies and motorbikes in a two-day, 500-kilometre challenge across some of the harshest terrain in Western Australia.
Murchison River Music Festival
The Murchison River Music Festival is held over two big nights, in the picturesque bush setting of Murchison House Station Gardens on the banks of the river. A number of talented musicians take part in this annual event. Tickets are available online or at the Visitor Centre

The annual Larry Lobster Festival will be held on the Dongara Foreshore on 16 November. The festival will include over 50 market stalls, family activities and local entertainment. Festivities will begin at 9am and will finish with fireworks at 8pm.
HMAS Sydney II 72nd Anniversary Memorial Service

Honour the 645 sailors that perished aboard the HMAS Sydney in a World War II battle. The 72nd Anniversary Memorial Service will be held at the HMAS Sydney II Memorial on 19 November.
