       What to see and do:

  • Take in stunning wildflowers of the National Park
  • Enjoy the expansive views at Lang Lookout
  • Stroll the Heritage and circular Wildflower Walk
  • Waddi Farm Music Festival, 03 March - 04 March 2007

The park, 13,121 hectares in its entirety has been set aside for the preservation of many species of wildflowers including the black kangaroo paw (the Badgingarra logo) which are found in this vacinity. It is also home to many reptiles, emus, kangaroos and a variety of bird life including bustards and wedge tail eagles.

A two kilometre walking trail has been established, commencing at a point on the west side of the Brand Highway close to the Badgingarra Roadhouse.

The walk is over rugged terrain, featuring a steep hill with a lookout so a responsible level of health and fitness is required. Allow one and a half hours for the walk, leaving your car at the service station car park and picking up a Department of Environment and Conservation booklet before you start.

On the North West Road, between the original Badgingarra town site and the new, is 1.5 km Heritage and Circular Wildfower Walk. Explore along the Hill River in footsteps of cattle drovers of the last century. Every season brings different varieties of wildflowers and the vegetation changes every time you cross one of the little bridges over the river.

Take in expansive vistas of the red earth and green rolling pastures from this elevated site on Watheroo West Road. A large rock at the lookout commemorates local farmer George Elliot Lang, credited for the introduction of modern-day farming techniques in the area.
