Experiencing Kalbarri National Park is a must for visitors to the area. One of the most exciting and spectacular in Western Australia, the Murchison River Gorges are particularly spectacular, including The Loop, Z Bend, Hawkes Head Lookout and Ross Graham Lookout. There are many ways to experience Kalbarri National Park from short walks to more challenging hikes, absailing, quad biking or join a river cruise.

Kalbarri National Park is also renowed for its some 800 species of West Australian native wildflowers bursting into bloom from late June to November.

Kalbarri's coastal gorges are also spectacular featuring magnificent, towering ocean side cliffs. During the annual humpback whale migration from July to November, you can often spot whales just metres from the cliffs.

Deep water adjacent to the Kalbarri shoreline and coastal cliffs provide an ideal environment for fishing. Tailor and mulloway are the main targets for shore anglers while estuary fishing may also produce catches of whiting. Fishing charters are extremely popular, satisfying both the serious anglers and the novice. Blue swimmer and mangrove crabs are also regularly found in the river.

There are many ways to explore Kalbarri and its surrounds. Tour operators provide a host of activities including canoeing, quad biking, hiking or abseiling in the river gorges, boat charters for whale watching, river or sunset cruises, or get above it all with a scenic flight. Horse riding, camel treks, paddleboat, windsurfing and dinghy hire are all available.

Kalbarri accommodation options including hotel, motel, self contained units, backpacker facilities, camping and caravan parks.  There are also a great range of cafes, restaurants and other facilities.
