National Park Passes and Fees

A range of National Park Passes are available from Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) offices and more than 40 local tourist centres throughout the State, as well as entry points to parks or rangers within the parks.

Park passes do not include camping. Seperate fees apply.

Five types of park passes are available for purchase:-

Day Pass - this pass covers entry into one or more parks on any one day. Passes are available from rangers in the parks. In some parks, a system of self-registration applies. Visitors can obtain a day pass at a registration station and deposit the fee in the fee container.
Fees: $9/car (up to 8 legally seated people), $3/motorcycle, $3.40/passenger on commercial tour vehicles and buses.

Annual Local Park Pass - If you live near a national park (or a group of national parks) and visit frequently, this pass lets you visit the park or group of local parks as many times as you wish without having to pay day visitor fees.
Fee: $17/vehicle (up to 8 people)

Holiday Park Pass - If you are on holiday and want to visit a number of national parks, this pass entitles you to as many visits to as many parks as you wish for any four-week period.
Fee: $22.50/vehicle (up to 8 people)

Gold Star Pass - A Gold Star Pass is an Annual All Parks Pass that includes a one-year subscription to DEC's award-winning conservation, forests and wildlife magazine, Landscope. Gold Star Passes area available through DEC offices or when you subscribe to Landscope. Application forms are available from park rangers.
Fee: $73 (includes one-year Landscope subscription)

Concessions

Drivers who hold a Seniors' Card, aged pension card or Department of Veterans' Affairs Card are entitled to pay a concession price of $3/car for Day Passes, or $1 per person when on private outings on buses (not on commercial tours).

Student groups undertaking course work or people with disabilities, as well as other groups undertaking educational activites within a park, are eligable for a waiver of visitor fees. Such groups should apply in writing to DEC before they visit.

The following national parks in Australia's Coral Coast have day visitor fees:

    - Nambung National Park
    - Kalbarri National Park
    - Francois Peron National Park
    - Cape Range National Park

Special Park Passes

    - Monkey Mia Reserve
            $6/Adult
            $2/Child under 16yrs
            $12/Family

*Please note: The Annual All Parks Pass, the Holiday Park Pass and Gold Star Pass are not valid for the Monkey Mia Reserve.
