Named after one of Australia's most famous aviators, this pathway takes you on the mail run journey operated by Charles Kingsford Smith and Keith Anderson when they purchased a truck in 1924 and set up the Gascoyne Transport Company. Their mail run contract went from Carnarvon to the Bangemall Goldfields near Mt Augustus National Park. It is said that this run financed Kingsford Smith's dream to be the first to fly over the Pacific.
