Monsignor Hawes Heritage Trail, Mullewa
Celebrates the enormous contribution architect-priest John Hawes made to the region, the Monsignor Hawes Heritage Trail highlights 15 buildings of his design and other sites significant to his life. In harmony with the landscape, his building style is easily recognisable and provides a regarding and inspiring travel experience.
De Grey Stock Route, Mullewa
This heritage trail follows the route first gazetted in 1905, commencing at the mouth of the De Grey River and finishing at
Mullewa. The trail takes in three of the southern-most government wells and a natural watering hole, Hughie Rocks.
Dongara Denison Walk, Dongara Denison
Details 11 different treks traversing the twin towns' most scenic locations. Stroll the banks of the Irwin River, enjoy incredible ocean views or step back in time on the historic walk, which passes 17 heritage-listed buildings.
Greenough River Nature Trail, Greenough
Traverses the banks of the Greenough River and the river mouth. It offers ideal locations for swimming, picnicing, bike riding, walking, canoeing, rowing and fishing.
Chapman Regional Wildlife Corridor, Chapman Valley
Nature buffs can delight in the bird life and wildflowers on nature walk trails along the Chapman Regional Wildflower Corridor. The corridor lines the Chapman River and boasts an incredible wildflower display during the season from around July to October.
Wine Tasting Trail, Chapman Valley
Sample some of the valley's delights by heading out along the Chapman Valley Road and visiting Ego Creek, Red Hill and Chapman Valley Wines. Restaurants facilities are also available at Chapman Valley Wines.
Mushroom Rock Walk Trail, Kalbarri
See how nature has shaped this dramatic coastal landscape. Marvel at the varied geological formations and witness kangaroos feeding (best seen dawn or dusk) amidst the beautiful coastal heath. Allow an hour to stroll the marked circuit that connects Rainbow Valley and Mushroom Rock.
