The Monkey Mia dolphin magic has been bringing smiles to ocean lovers faces for generations and now you and your family can see them for free at MONKEY MIA LIVE - a series of webcams capturing the Shark Bay Marine Park, Monkey Mia Dolphin Feeding and the Beach.
The webcam series is purely to share our beautiful Monkey Mia Dolphin beach with the rest of the world and is the brainchild of the Shark Bay Shark Ark Project - who provide conservation based initiatives within the Shark Bay World Heritage Marine Park. The webcams are state of the art, at significant financial cost to set up. The goal of this project is to help educate visitors on the appropriate, sustainable and ethical dolphin interaction techniques in a positive and fun fashion before you arrive in the Shark Bay area.

What will I see on the Boat webcam?
From sunrise to sun down, the unique "mast mounted" webcam allows guests to enjoy a free Monkey Mia scenic cruise aboard Perfect Nature Cruises' Aristocat 2 where you can see dolphins, dugongs, the red cliffs Shark Bay is so famous for and ofcourse, Steep Point. Get online and see the best of Shark Bay, all without getting wet - perfect for those who suffer from sea sickness! The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, find out what time of day that is in your timezone!
What time are the Dolphins online?
The Monkey Mia Dolphin Experience generally occurs from 7.30am and 10.30am. When recording the dolphin experience on webcam, we use the "Zoom" function to bring our guests up close and personal. The whole screen will be filled with a 4 times Zoom both for the Dolphin Experience and the beach Kayak Experience - at the same time as the dolphins are generally at their most active during this time. The Dolphin Experience is clearly visible during the dolphin feeding time and guests to the webcam can also then "manually zoom" on their phone/tablet/laptop etc for a further close up.
What if I miss the Dolphin feeding, what else is there to see?
The Monkey Mia Live webcam also has time-lapse videos that you can watch that anytime. The timelapse videos have been collected for the last 12 months, so you can actually watch a whole year of videos in about two minutes!
Who is the Shark Ark Project?
The privately funded group behind FINN Films, owners Shayne and Leon provide free logistical support for science expeditions and educational/conservation-based nature documentaries to further promote the area as a tourism destination, whilst protecting our fragile and pristine World Heritage Listed eco-system.
