Head to the Pelican Feeding Point (opposite the intersection of Grey St and Woods St) at Kalbarri's Foreshore for 08:45am each morning, and watch as resident pelicans make way from the beach up to the grassed area.

Local volunteers give an informative talk and feed the pelicans fish whilst spectators watch on. If you're lucky, you'll be picked from the crowd to feed them some fish yourself! This tradition dates back to the 1975, when local fishermen Chris Ross would feed the birds.

There is no charge for the pelican feeding, however a gold coin donation to assist the volunteers with the cost of fish is appreciated.

Please note that as the pelicans are wild animals, it cannot be guaranteed that they'll be there every day.
