It’s already one of the most popular places to sit and enjoy the spectacular Carnarvon sunset, but for one evening only, you can now enjoy nature’s free light show on Carnarvon’s elegant Fascine while tucking into a delicious hamper full of local foodie treats.
This brand new event for 2021 - Carnarvon’s Great Gaze - is part of WA's Great Graze, and aims to introduce visitors to some of the Gascoyne’s incredible range of produce and, thanks to the team at Green Grape Grazing Co, it’ll be a feast for all the senses on April 16 from 5pm.
The Gascoyne area has built a reputation for gastronomic excellence thanks to a fortunate combination of climate and rich soil. To celebrate the region’s tropical fruits and vegetables, succulent seafood and meat, Carnarvon’s Great Gaze will showcase produce at the town’s iconic waterfront location. In each grazing box, you’ll find local seasonal produce like zingy chutney, sourced from local mango plantations, paired with creamy cheese from the south west. Tuck into freshly crackers and preserves from the abundance of stone fruit growers in the area, and fresh fruit picked not far from the Fascine itself. Look out for local foodie hero products from Homestead Hampers – their Goat Ham is the talk of the town. All you need to do is bring a rug and some mates for the best seat in the house.
$70 for 1 to 3pp, $130 for 3 to 6pp and $160 for 7 to 10pp.
