The Shire of Shark Bay Shire we will be hosting the Shark Bay Rendezvous Festival in the town of Denham.
The area is steeped with European History - Dutch, French and British. This festival will commemorate the landing of French explorer Louis de Freycinet and his wife Rose on the Shark Bay peninsular 200 years ago. Louis' wife Rose has a pink lake named after her on the nearby Dirk Hartog Island.
The Shark Bay Rendezvous Festival will celebrate French, Australian and Aboriginal culture with in Shark Bay. Food, live music, dancing, costumes, history, stargazing and speedway will all play a part in this weekend of celebration.
