The Coral Coast is home to stunning scenery, incredible wildlife, and unique natural landscapes – but it’s also home to an array of impressive boutique producers, who lovingly create their own incredible beverages.
These producers have been brewing up delicious drinks, and are definitely making a name for themselves both locally as well as nationally and internationally. Small populations, long stretches of road, and remote locations have not stopped Coral-Coast-ians from creating some of the defining tastes of the State – and it would be a shame for you to deprive your taste buds when in the region.
Whilst on your Coral Coast adventure, it's highly recommended that you stop in and try these brews for yourself:
Illegal Tender Rum Co
Dongara-Port Denison
There’s a reason why these guys have won so many awards – their rum is just so ridiculously tasty. Last year, Illegal Tender Rum Co bought home gold from the Chinese Wine and Spirit Value Awards, as well as bronze from the World Rum Awards. Not bad at all!
Illegal Tender is only a young enterprise, with its team receiving worldwide recognition and acclaim in a short time. All spirits are distilled twice at their purpose built distillery in Dongara, where they produce their popular Spiced and 1808 Barely Legal, as well as their recently released barrel aged rum.
Stop in at Illegal Tender Rum Co for a distillery tour and rum tasting, or else score yourself an award-winning bottle of rum at the cellar door.
