7 towns in Australia's Coral Coast are finalists in 2021 GWN7 Top Tourism Town Awards, across the awards' two categories.
Update: Coral Bay wins silver and Exmouth wins bronze at prestigious tourism awards.
Coral Bay took home silver in the Small Tourism Town Award category and Exmouth took home bronze in the Top Tourism Town Award category, at a well-attended awards ceremony in Geraldton on 5 May 2021. Capping off a successful tourism conference organised by the Tourism Council WA, the awards have become a highly-anticipated part of the annual get-together of the State’s leading tourism operators.
A total of 17 towns across Western Australia were named as finalists in the awards, which recognise and reward Western Australian towns that demonstrate a strong commitment to encouraging tourism and increasing visitation to their destination. Seven of these finalists were in the Australia's Coral Coast region:
- Exmouth, Geraldton and Kalbarri - finalists in the 'Top Tourism Town Award' category.
- Carnarvon, Coral Bay, Denham and Jurien Bay - finalists in the 'Small Tourism Town Award' category.
