Quobba was established in 1898 and is bounded by Gnarloo Station to the North, Lake McLeod and Boolathana Station to the East/South and the Indian Ocean to the West. The Station is approximately 187000 acres measuring 80km of WA’s spectacular rugged coastline North to South and approximately 14km East to West.
The Meecham’s have been on Quobba Station for over 40 years, with Tim, Sara and family here for over 22 years. The Station runs approximately 10 000 damaras (South African meat sheep).

Quobba - Chalets

Situated on top of the picturesque sand dunes overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Chalets are perfectly suited for a family getaway or romantic weekend. Spectacular scenery from the deck of the Quobba coastline to the north and south makes your stay even more incredible.

Quobba - The Smithies

Quobba - Shearer's Quarters

The Shearers Quarters were used every year to house the shearing team until damara sheep (South African sheep that do not need shearing) replaced the merino flock. The Quarters has recently been restored and is now offered as a 'backpacker style' accommodation. It's a great option for backpackers, school/university groups, large fishing groups, weddings etc.
The Shearers Quarters are equipped with:
- 8x rooms (that can be individually rented out), each with two single beds
- A self-contained kitchen and large dining/entertaining area
- 10 hours power per day
- A communal ablution block

Quobba - Powered Campsite

Quobba - Unpowered Waterfront Campsite

Unpowered waterfront sites sit on top of a dune with panoramic views on the Indian Ocean and Front Beach. Watch humpback whales cruise past on their annual migration (May - June) from the comfort of your own camp, or walk 50 metres down to the beach to enjoy your sunset drinks.
Note:
- Unfortunately dual axle and large caravans are not suitable for these sites.
- These sites are stunning during the calm winter months but are highly exposed to the summer winds. Please consider the potential weather conditions before booking your site.
Quobba - Unpowered Campsite

Unpowered campsites are scattered throughout the Quobba homestead, and you are free to choose the one that best suits you within the boundaries of the camp. Unpowered sites are suitable for all types of campers, whether you're in a swag, tent, campervan, caravan or big rig.
Enjoy sunset overlooking the ocean from the communal fire pit or take a walk along the Gidgie Trail, experiencing a mix of inland and coastal scenery. There are several unpowered share shelters available that are allocated on a 'first in, best dressed' basis. The Front Beach goes straight to the reef so isn't great for swimming, but is perfect for beach walking, collecting shells and enjoying the marine life (whales and turtles can commonly be sighted during their migratory/laying seasons).
Red Bluff - Retreats

There are two eco retreats which are located just south of the Red Bluff homestead. The retreats are hard deck safari tents featuring a queen bed, fully equipped kitchenette, full-sized fridge/freezer, microwave, gas cooker, 24 hour solar panels and ensuite.

Red Bluff - Bungalows

The 3 seascape bungalows are hard deck safari tents, located south of the Red Bluff homestead and overlooking the Indian Ocean. Each bungalow accommodates up to 6 guests (one queen sized bed and four single bunks in each) and features a full sized fridge/freezer, shower and toilet, 24 hour solar power* and a rainwater tank.
The bungalows share a communal camp kitchen, complete with all your cooking requirements including BBQ, gas cookers, microwave oven, crockery and cutlery etc. There is also a fire pit** behind the bungalows.

*As we do run on solar power, no electric heaters or heating elements are allowed in the accommodation.

Unpowered caravan and camping sites are scattered throughout Red Bluff. There are 15 long drop toilets located near every camp spot and a waste dump point near the entrance of the camp.
If you have a chemical toilet, please bring it - we highly encourage the use of private chemical loo's to reduce the use of communal toilets.
