Bigurda Trail
Kalbarri Coastal Cliffs | Moderate | 8km | No National Park Fees
This trail hugs the coastline between Eagle Gorge and Natural Bridge, providing stunning coastal views.
Here the Indian Ocean butts up against the ancient Australian landmass, creating steep chasms, rocky inlets and bizarre formations, as it relentlessly carves away at the multi-coloured layers of sandstone and limestone. A string of lookouts dots the impressive coast south of town. July - November: Spot migrating Humpback Whales. Find out more.

Kalbarri National Park | Moderate | 800m | National Park Fees Apply
The Natures Window Walk Trail is a picturesque, moderate, 800 metre return walk beginning with a flight of stairs from the lookout at the carpark descending down to Natures Window, an iconic attraction that frames a view of the river. Stairs included. Find out more.

Find out more.

Z-Bend River Trail
Kalbarri National Park | Hard | 2.6km | National Park Fees Apply
The Z Bend is suitably named after the tight bends the Murchison River has carved into the Sandstone gorge. For the more adventurous hikers, once admiring the views from the Z Bend Lookout, you can embark on the trek down into the gorge, meandering between boulders and river red gums to reach the Murchison River. As you climb over boulders, through passages and down ladders, keep a look out for the endemic wildflower species Kalbarri Spider Orchid as well as many other wildflowers Pink Poker, Flame Grevillea, Starflowers and many more orchids and flowering natives. Once in the gorge if the season permits you can have a swim and cool off in the waters of the Murchison River, or walk along the rock edge and enjoy the calm surroundings. Find out more.

The Loop Hike
Kalbarri National Park | Hard | 9km Loop | National Park Fees Apply
This trail takes you past the iconic Natures Window and follows a loop along the Murchison River.
This difficult, 9 kilometre trail follows the edge of the cliff, with magnificent views of the river below, before working its way down to the river bank. The trail continues along the river with sandy beaches, river gums and the possibility of swimming. After following a loop in the river the trail eventually climbs out of the gorge, back up to Nature’s Window and on to the carpark. This trail is closed from November to March because of the intense heat. Find out more.

Ross Graham Walk
Kalbarri National Park | Moderate | 700m | National Park Fees Apply
Starting from the car park at the end of Ross Graham Road, Kalbarri National Park, this walk takes you past the Ross Graham Lookout, then down to the Murchison River and back. On the walk you may spot local wildlife like Emus and Kangaroos and during Wildflower season many species of wildflowers including the Kalbarri spider orchis and the Kalbarri catspaw. The trail leads you down to the river pools of the Murchison River through 27 stairs, where you can enjoy a swim in the cool waters or even take some kayaks or canoes down to the river after plentiful rain. Just 200 metres from the car park is a wheelchair accessible lookout offering panoramic views. Find out more.
