Warroora Station (pronounced Warra) is a family-run cattle station adjacent to the World Heritage Ningaloo Reef coastline. Located between Carnarvon and Exmouth, only 1 hour south of Coral Bay, this is the ideal place to experience the Australian outback in its most natural.
We are offering campground as well as our traditional Station Stay accommodation. Our guests can choose between the modern Ocean view villa, only 500 m from the beach, the charming Homestead, ideal for group or self-contained cottages located 1.5 km from the beach. The complex is accessible with 2WD but 4WDs are recommended to explore the coast.
The Homestead campground located 1500 m from the beach has large unpowered sites, with their own fire pit. There are a basic shower & toilet facilities and a camp kitchen. Please note that there is NO power at the homestead campground. The area is spacious with lots of wildlife running around, including kangaroo’s as well as cattle. Stay as long as you want to experience the authentic soul of the outback. We are pet friendly.
ACTIVITIES SNORKELING & WHALE WATCHING
Snorkeling, surfing, fishing and wilderness walking are all perfect pastimes along with one of the largest fringing reefs in the world. Marine life is in abundance with whale sharks, migratory whales, manta rays, dolphins, turtles and sharks and countless other fish and marine animals.
Migratory Humpback Whales are a constant feature for several months of the year and can be easily seen from the shore playing almost constantly on the outer edge of the reef. It is truly a fantastic sight to see one of these massive mammals launch their bodies completely out of the water as they show off to all who are watching (June to October).
FISHING
Ningaloo Reef is a popular destination for recreational fishing. Species such as spanglers emperor, coral trout, Spanish mackerel and trevally are just a few. Please refer to the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development DPIRD Recreational Fishing Guide about the zones and various activities, including spearfishing.
BUSH WALKING
Warroora Station, it is 266,000 acres of untouched rangelands, home to dozens of native animals, prolific birdlife and beautiful flora, particularly after rains when hundreds of acres are carpeted with wildflowers.
