The Shark Bay Marine Park is located within the UNESCO Shark Bay World Heritage Area, and protects the rich marine life and biodiversity of the area.

Famously known for the Monkey Mia dolphins, which swim close into shore almost every day, the Marine Park is also home to the world's largest and most stable population of dugongs, along with turtles, humpback whales, rays and more. Make sure to visit the Hamelin Pool Nature Reserve, where you can find the world's oldest living lifeforms - the 3.5 billion-year-old Hamelin Pool stromatolites.
