Australia’s Coral Coast

Depart Geraldton Airport for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Pink Lake at Hutt Lagoon near Port Gregory.

Fly over the coast North of Geraldton taking in the colours of the sand and water of Australia's Coral Coast. Soon we'll reach the southern end of the Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake.

The lake contains a pink hue created by the presence of carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella salina, a source of ß-carotene, a food-colouring agent and a source of vitamin A.

The Pink Lake is approximately 70 square kilometres with most of it lying a few metres below sea level and fed by marine waters through springs.

After circling the lake head along the coastal cliffs and over the town to the rugged Kalbarri National Park with its amazing Murchison River gorges. See where the river has cut through the sandstone showing amazing red, white and purple rock colours. View the breathtaking Hawkeshead, Little Z Bend, Big Z Bend, Four Ways Formation and more before heading back to land at Geraldton Airport
